It is common to spread infection with a change in weather, but if conjunctivitis i.e. eye flu has occurred in the eyes, do not take it lightly.

Eye flu is a fast-spreading infection, which spreads rapidly this season. This flu is also called conjunctivitis. In this, problems like burning, pain, and redness are seen in the eyes. The main cause of this disease is allergic reactions. This infection can occur at any age, but mostly it affects children. On seeing its symptoms, the doctor should be contacted immediately.

What is the reason for eye irritation:

Eye infection usually starts in one eye and spreads to the other eye. Due to the rain, the germs and bacteria that spread the infection through the air increase.

Eye flu is a contagious disease and it spreads only by touching the infected surface. Therefore, if you touch any surface, clean your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes and avoid touching your eyes again and again.

Eye flu infection causes severe pain in the eye, redness, a sticky yellow substance with water, itching, blurred vision, burning sensation, difficulty in seeing, sticking of the eyes, and something in the eye. Feel like leaving.

How to protect against eye irritation:

Wash the eyes several times with clean and cold water and apply eye drops prescribed by the doctor. Wash hands regularly. Avoid touching your eyes without washing your hands, avoid rubbing your eyes, and avoid contact with people who have eye flu.

Keep your towel, clothes, bed sheet, glasses, eye makeup items, and eye drops separately, and do not share them with anyone. Make a habit of blinking frequently.

Never rub the eyes, in case of itching, clean them by sprinkling them with clean water. Avoid getting wet in the rainy season and take a bath in the swimming pool.

If you use contact lenses, take special care of their cleanliness. Be sure to disinfect contact lenses before each use. Encourage young children to wash their hands frequently and avoid touching their eyes frequently.

What to do in case of infection:

Even after taking all the precautions, if you have become a victim of eye flu, avoid going to public places. This can spread the infection to healthy people. Go out only with dark glasses on your eyes. If infected, avoid shaking hands and do not touch public places. Can also use sanitizer.

Diet: Diet is also very important to keep the eyes healthy. Include such foods in your daily diet, which are rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin B, and Vitamin C.

Eye flu usually gets cured on its own in three-four days, but if instead of getting cured, the problem of infection is increasing and there is difficulty in seeing, then it is necessary to see a good ophthalmologist.

One thing should always be kept in mind do not eat any medicine on your own nor put any eye drops without a doctor’s advice. The wrong medicine or eye drops can make your infection worse. At this time, even rose water should not be put in the eyes.
